Q: What is PowerPoint Heaven?
A: PowerPoint Heaven is the only and largest PowerPoint entertainment portal for PowerPoint animations, games, artworks, showcases, animation templates and tutorials. The focus of this site is to maximize the use of Microsoft PowerPoint and go beyond its capability. Our goal is to show users that PowerPoint is not simply a presentation tool, but is also capable on leveraging into other areas such as creating games, artworks and animations. These works are submitted by the PowerPoint Heaven Contributors.


Q: What is the Minimum Requirements to view the PowerPoint works here?
A: In order to view the majority of the PowerPoint works, you will need to have PowerPoint 2002/XP and above installed. They do not work with other Office Suite or Presentation Software such as OpenOffice's Impress. If you do not own a copy of Microsoft PowerPoint, you can download the free PowerPoint Viewer as indicated below. Download PowerPoint Viewer 2007 here.


Q: These works are fake, I don't think they are done in PowerPoint!
A: All works on PowerPoint Heaven are done entirely in PowerPoint. The showcases, games and movies are animated using the PowerPoint's Custom Animation feature, while the artworks are drawn using the PowerPoint's FreeForm and Curve tools. Q: I do not have Microsoft PowerPoint and I do not want to install PowerPoint Viewer either. Can I view these PowerPoint works online?
A: PowerPoint Heaven has a Broadcasting Channel @ YouTube where movies and games preview are showcased. However, the broadcast is limited to a few PowerPoint works and you are recommended to download the latest PowerPoint Viewer for full viewing capabilities.

Q: I have problems playing some of the PowerPoint Games, especially those made in PowerPoint 2007.
A: Some PowerPoint works require PowerPoint 2007 and above to run. PowerPoint Games made on PowerPoint 2007 (in pptx or ppsx) are meant to be played on PowerPoint 2007 or later versions. A note will be indicated under the name of the work: PowerPoint 2007 and above only These games may not be compatible with PowerPoint Viewer 2007 or PowerPoint 2003 with Compatibility Pack installed.


Q: How do I dissect PowerPoint works?
A: To determine whether a work is done in PowerPoint, there are several ways to do it. For Artworks: Open up the PowerPoint file and do a Ctrl-A to select all the AutoShapes. Then, right click on the AutoShapes, select Grouping > Ungroup. Repeat the steps until you can't ungroup further. Then, right click on any of the AutoShapes and select Edit Points. For Movies, Showcases and Games: Open up the PowerPoint file, select Slide Show > Custom Animation. (For PowerPoint 2007, select Animation > Custom Animation). This will allow you to view the animations utilized on the work.


Q: Why are the animations jerky / pixilated?
A: Try enabling the Hardware Graphics Acceleration for smoother rendering during the Slide Show View. Click Slide Show > Set Up Show. Put a checkmark on Hardware Graphics Acceleration.


Q: The PowerPoint works on PowerPoint Heaven are awesome! Where can I learn all these animation and drawing techniques?
A: The easiest way is to access our Tutorials section, where there are tutorials such as "How to draw an anime characters?" or "How to create an Escape the Room game". Alternately, you can visit PowerPoint Heaven Discussion Board to ask for help from our fellow board members.


Q: Where can I find all the top notch PowerPoint works?
A: In recognition to the hard work and efforts of the contributors, PowerPoint Heaven Medals are introduced and awarded to works and submissions that stand out from the regular ones. These works are the cream of PowerPoint Heaven. Strict rules and conditions are applied to these awards, hence only the best works will be awarded. Based on these awards, you can also decide which are the recommended choices.


Q: I would like to submit my PowerPoint works, how can I contribute?
A: Content Submissions can be submitted through email. The goal of PowerPoint Heaven is to go beyond the capability of PowerPoint and to showcase the best of PowerPoint. Thus, only quality works are accepted. All works submitted will be reviewed (approx. 3 days) before it goes up on PowerPoint Heaven. Due to the huge amount of works we received daily, you will only be notified if your submission has been accepted. Q: Do I need to include any PowerPoint Heaven logo on my works for submission?
A: Yes. With effect from 21 Mar 2009, all works submitted on PowerPoint Heaven must display the PowerPoint Heaven logo (logo hyperlinked to the site is strongly recommended) or a simple text that reads "PowerPoint Heaven - The Power to Animate", or use the default preloader slide sample from the PowerPoint Heaven Logo Kit. The use of PowerPoint Heaven logo is our basic security measure against re-distribution without proper credits given.


Q: Some PowerPoint works are written in Korean and Chinese. Why is this so?
A: PowerPoint Heaven works closely with Korea's and China's largest PowerPoint Communities such as Korea's PowerPoint Expert Club. Our goal is to serve as a bridge to showcase outstanding works from these PowerPoint Communities internationally and at the same time, allowing them to receive works done from the English PowerPoint Community.
